Wow--you know, though, I've heard that Ted "googles" his name and "sucks" every morning before deciding on his hit list for the afternoon, so...

;)

Was it something I said? Er, posted? Or, did you really do some research? To be honest, I've just barely kept up with the guy, but he scares the beejeebers outta me...sorta like Dire can.

;)

[again, for emphasis...]

Ha--unlike Rob, I can usually count on you to chime in when I call you out. Not sure about his penMENship though...no doubt, a vast improvement over mine.

Yes, I recall that you declined the offer of "guns? knives? brass knuckles?" when TTGuy provided an array of choices for First Forum Knockdown Cage Match.

Sorta diffused the whole thing at the time...speaking of which, his side-kick, Noise Collector hasn't been around for a long time.

Well you know what they say. "The penis, mightier than the sword."

Or something like that. You might want to rearrange the spaces, maybe.

Hello, Master Tell.

Hello, Mister Wolf.

Well if I was going to come back it had to be for something trivial and inconsequential (see, Dire does have his uses...) and anyway I figured that torch you were carrying was going to burn your fingers eventually.

This just in: rounding out the Top Four GD Forum posters at 6004 and counting...again. Say, with just another dozen posts or so, I'll be twice your size in the Forum Posting department.

Ahem. And yes, the fingers can rest easy for now...wheww.

Speaking of MIA, Rose, and for that matter, a virtual mass of "top fifty posters" from the Forum "stat sheet" are currently falling further and further down the list...

I had noticed that you were just a couple more posts away from that epic milestone. It's an odds on certainty that no one will catch up with you - not in our lifetimes anyway. And what's really scary is that you actually do have a life outside these forum confines too. Awesome, truly.

Grab that golden ring, you aged freedom fighter!

Hey Don - this is just like old times, all we need now is for our friend the Hollow Man to put in an appearance (where are you, SDH?) and the Old Farts really will be back in town and reclaiming the asylum. Let's catch up offline - it's been way too long!

careful inspection seems to reveal that all the o's in "robthewordsmith" are in deed o's and not zeros. Does this mean there is a true wordsmith sighting? It would appear so. Greetings to you, our long missing brother.

NC has a new baby right? Funny because nothing makes noise like kids. My son is a train, tractor or monster truck 24/7...my daughter makes more subtle annoying noises.....it's seems only fitting that a Noise Collector would have a collection of noisy children.

If his name was Nose Collector then HE could be the "blow me" guy!

SDH will confirm--Cush too--we are the state allowing consideration of 32 round clips for K-12 (playground only of course). Bars and guns do mix it turns out; if they haven't gotten your order in a timely fashion, you can legally take action...at least I think that was the intention.

what precipitated the change of heart?

now Ted, the musician, is truly the "Motor City Madman"

Ted, the alleged human being, is a cretin

I can never remember: "cree-tan" or "kret-in"? The former of the isle, the latter of misanthropic tendencies? I'll stop now, or soon we'll be discussing the obscure and arcane, like "orificia", and Rob will have some work to do hereabouts.

Either way, he certainly is...er, Ted that is...

Cretin: one afflicted by cretinism, stunted mental and physical development resulting from a thyroid deficiency, but more generally used these days to denote brainless stupidity.
Cretan: a native of Crete

Of course as Epimenides the Cretan said 'All Cretans are liars.'

But was he telling the truth?

I just signed on as a truck driver for Crete Carriers starting in June. I guess that makes me a Cretan, or does it make me a Cretin for being a stupid truck driver?

yet if it was someone who you really liked politically you would not put the news up.

I notice that on both "sides" to berate, demonize and scorn the peeps they hate.

Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of such brat behavior on ALL sides. Tell me something nice about him or don't you care - LOL. I think Obama and even bill mahar have some positive qualities. Don't be a hater, brother! I should know!

Be careful that you don't turn into the peeps you hate. Hatred has a way of doin that, weedhopper ;-)

"Don't be a hater, brother!"

not really hating...

Ted's one helluva guitarist...one of the idols of my youth... and I don't hate him for his extreme views. I might think he's crazy, but I don't hate him.

And I posted with no editorial comment. If a liberal nut job was the subject of a thread here and I found something related, I'd post it as well.

Those damn vowels get me every time! I knew it all made sense somewhere, somehow...cretins in Crete is just too much to ponder.

This brings back memories of Greek Tales, our own mortality, and movie quotes of Kirk Douglas doing his best with Homer (and the re-write, a la Hollywood style...simplify, and they will grasp it; worked for me).

Unlike Kirk, I'd find it hard to rebuff some hottie with an offer of immortality on a scenic isle over-run with nymphs, and I know I would jump at even a bargain basement offer on a new lumbar region.

For awhile the Spirit of Nugent almost overtoked me, then I remembered my frevrent oath to be non-political on the GD Forum. I think I'll skip the Michael Savage and Alex Jones shows today and spark up a fatty instead.
